Yeah! Pierogi is new and unique to the WNY area.

We are offering homemade vegan and vegetarian Pierogi. The uniqueness is in our dough. We add fresh vegetable purees + powders, ground seeds, herbs and bean purees to our doughs.

At Yeah! Pierogi we look back on the traditional wisdom and culinary know-how of the Old World to create a Pierogi for YOU! We believe in the Importance of a Colorful Diet and dedicated to keep that wonderful feeling of doing good and eating wholesome without compromising on taste.

Our slogan Wholesomely Robust Goodness is about adding nutritionally-dense ingredients to the Pierogi to enjoy the feeling of eating hearty and being nourished.

The Pierogi are Wholesome by using fresh vegetables, fruits, legumes, seeds, spices, plant milk and oils.  The nutrients in these ingredients are foods that our bodies appreciate and help us stay healthful when choosing a variety of foods.

Robust food does not have to be fattening, it can be healthful and hearty. Incorporating plant based foods into the pierogi make them rich in fiber, proteinantioxidants, potassium and phosphorus.

We bring out the Goodness of our pierogi through simple, fresh and everyday ingredients. We define Goodness in business by our products and services, the individuals and the human creativity.

Cooking + Serving Suggestions


Saute

Thaw pierogi or keep frozen.  In a large fry pan, heat about 1-2 Tbsp oil over med heat. Add sliced or diced onion and pierogi to the pan to saute. Flip pierogi after a few minutes and continue to saute and flipping until browned on all sides. Season to taste with salt and pepper.  The shell should be a little crunchy but that's the best way! Serve with a dollop of applesauce or vegan sour cream or whatever you like! 

TIP: Instead of using plain oil try using a flavored oil or basting oil. It really adds a nice layer of flavor to the dish. Also you can add leek, garlic, or your favorite vegan sausage to your pan for added flavor.


Boil

No need to thaw pierogi, keep frozen. Bring a large pot of salted water to a gentle boil add a tablespoon of oil then add pierogi one at a time. Don't overcrowd the pierogi. Stir gently as pierogi are placed into the water so they do not stick to the bottom of the pot. Cook about 2-4 minutes, Drain in a colander. 

TIP:  If you have a lot of pierogi to cook then use a larger pot and a lot of water. Otherwise cook pierogi in few smaller batches. Don't boil too long since all of our pierogi are already boiled before we freeze them.


Steamed

Want a quick cooking method that is super healthy? Steaming is the way to go.  Add sauteed or raw veggies to frying pan mixed with seasonings. Add about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of water to frying pan (depending on size of pan). Place Frozen pierogi on top of veggies and water. Cover and steam on medium heat for 10 minutes, till water is evaporated.  it should be fully cooked.  If not, add more water and steam longer till done. Remove pierogi and serve with veggies.

TIP:  We like to add sauteed onions or leeks with raw greens to the frying pan with water, top it with the pierogi then steam.


Baked

Brush oil on both sides of frozen pierogi and place in a 400° preheated oven on a baking sheet for 20 minutes, flipping once half way through.

TIP: Instead of using plain oil try using a flavored oil or basting oil. It really adds a nice layer of flavor to the dish.


Deep Fry

Cook frozen pierogi in 350° oil for 4-5 minutes turning once or twice, till browned. Drain and serve with your favorite topping. 

TIP:  If doing this in a frying pan then add enough oil to a deep pan or pot to cover the pierogi either half way or completely. Our favorite oils to use are Peanut, Vegetable, Sunflower and Avocado.


BBQ

Is it summertime? Don't want to get that stove going and heat up the house? Then BBQ the pierogi on a grill! Thaw pierogi first. We add the pierogi to a bowl of warm water for a few minutes, drain, cool down then brush oil on both sides of pierogi. Clean grill grates, spray grates with oil. Heat to medium heat, add pierogi to the grill till browned. Spray grate with oil, flip pierogi and brown on other side. Remove from grill and serve with your favorite topping!

TIP: try not to flip the pierogi too much. It might fall apart since they are so delicate.
